About

Journey Within Sober Living was founded in 2016 by founder Kim Arnold (also known as Coach Kim) as a Christian non-profit organization. However, she has been serving the community since 2005. As she observed most of her life how her community had been ravished by violence, drug, addictions and poverty and how families were impacted by this. She was able to convince a small but dedicated group of friends and family to go with her out into the community, passing out food, clothing, hygiene goodie bags along with very much needed hugs and prayers.  JWSL's community outreach has led here around the globe, teaching elementary school and raising funds to build a school in Kenya. Serving in Japan, Brazil, Jamaica in some of the poorest communities. Our goal is to help women with children, single women, women coming out of incarceration and drug rehab, to put their lives back together again. Through housing and needed community resources.

Coach Kim's vision is to elevate people through simple but powerful spiritual principles. Coach Kim's renown training and education has constructed her to be a heavy hitter in Kingdom Strangites. Her prophetic insight and apostolic force renders crushing blows to any form of bondage, which allow the captive to go free. Her training consist of the 2005 commissioning to Kenya, Africa presented by Pastor James Ford Jr of Christ bible Church. Later she was dispatched to Tokyo, Japan, San Palo, Brazil and Jamicia teaching biblical strategies on spiritual empowerment. In 2012 she attended

Living Word Bible Training Center under Dr. Bill Winston, where she received her Ministerial training. In 2015 she took that training into Cook County Correctional Facility. 2017 found her taking these very teachings into Florida Department of Corrections, then in 2023 to Georgia Department of Corrections. In 2023 she earned her degree in psychology from Georgia State. Coach Kim's commission is to loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the bands of yoke, to let the oppressed go free, and that she break every [enslaving] yoke? Isaiah 58:6
