About

Journey Within Sober Living was founded in 2016 by founder Kim Arnold (also known as Coach Kim) as a Christian non-profit organization. However, she has been serving the community since 2005. As she observed most of her life how her community had been ravished by violence, drug, addictions and poverty and how families were impacted by this. She was able to convince a small but dedicated group of friends and family to go with her out into the community, passing out food, clothing, hygiene goodie bags along with very much needed hugs and prayers.  JWSL's community outreach has led her around the globe, teaching elementary school and raising funds to build a school in Kenya. Serving in Japan, Brazil, Jamaica in some of the poorest communities. Our goal is to help women with children, single women, women coming out of incarceration and drug rehab, to put their lives back together again. Through housing and needed and outreach community resources. We serve the Chicago, IL and Atlanta, GA area.

"Our mission is to alleviate hunger and combat food insecurity in our community by providing nutritious meals, access to essential resources, and education on healthy eating. We are dedicated to ensuring that no one goes hungry and that everyone has the opportunity to lead a healthy, dignified life. Through our commitment to compassion, collaboration, and community empowerment, we strive to create a sustainable and hunger-free future for all."
